Meet head chef and owner Luis Arriola,
a culinary virtuoso whose passion for food has shaped a distinguished career in the world of culinary arts. With over 20 years of experience, Luis has become renowned for pushing the boundaries of flavor and creativity, earning accolades for his innovative approach to cuisine.
Luis’s love of cooking began in Central America learning traditional hispanic dishes from his mother in El Salvador. Upon moving to Philadelphia, Luis began his professional career in a small pizza shop learning to make traditional American fare. In short time, he became lead chef and created unique specialties for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Luis then transitioned to Lead Chef at Beck’s Cajun Cafe in the Reading Terminal Market. Here he learned to make many cajun dishes adding more to his knowledge of world flavors. There is no dish he can’t create.
After many years working at Reading Terminal Market and learning a variety of cuisines from Cajun, Mexican, Italian, Greek to American, Luis bought his own restaurant in 2023. The thriving restaurant has now expanded into catering with success thanks in part to the dedicated team and Luis’s creative menu ideas.
Outside of the kitchen, Luis enjoys spending time with his two young children and wife, Lisa. Luis is a big time Philadelphia sports fan and his beloved Real Madrid soccer team. His personal experiences and passions often influence his culinary creations, adding a unique depth and richness to each dish.
Luis is not simply a chef but a visionary artist whose dedication to culinary excellence has made a profound impact on the catering landscape. With a career defined by passion, professionalism, and a commitment to quality, he continues to leave a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to experience his extraordinary cuisine.
